Thoughts is an album that exists in extremes. Not the extremes of volume or aggression alone, but of emotional and sonic range. Freysteinn assembled a quartet capable of moving from the achingly beautiful to the brutally confrontational, sometimes within the same piece, and the recording reflects that capacity without compromise.
